Blood sugar reading before eating: 153
This reading of 153 was actually after I had already eaten most of the pear, and it wasn’t even a whole pear. Korean pears are big, like the size of a grapefruit, so half a Korean pear is much bigger than half of most green or yellow pears.
I forgot to check my blood sugar before i started eating, so it’s probably fair to say that the Korean pear was already causing my blood sugar to climb.
Blood sugar reading after eating: 192
This reading was about an hour after I finished my office breakfast of bananas, pears, and carrots.
So it already seems likely that the Korean pear was causing my blood sugar to bug out. I wonder what did the rest of the damage? I’m gonna guess the bananas. I guess I’ll have to eat these things separately to unravel this web of intrigue.
